Email enviado a Phillip McKenziePrincipal Administrator - Education and Training Policy Division (Attracting, Developing and Retaining Effective Teachers) da Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

Dear Sir,

Portuguese teachers are facing the most agressive policy against their careers that was ever acomplished in our country.

I believe the effects of this policy will soon contribute to the quick degradation of the already inefficient public education in Portugal.

In the exact moment I write to you this email, teachers are being humiliated by governmental members that use media to spread to public opinion a bad image of our work.

Since OECD is so particularly concerned on these issues, I send to you this email hoping you may iniciate by any means you think adequate, an evaluation of portuguese governmental actual policy towards teachers and education in Portugal. And i hope this can make a change on what's hapening here in this moment.

Sincerely yours,

a portuguese teacher
